چکیده
The aim of this study was to investigate the potential environmental pollution reduction sugar beet processing factory wastewater by biorefinery approach and integration microalgae biomass production. In present study, Chlorella vulgaris cultivated in collected from a at beginning end plant campaign an aerobic bioreactor on laboratory scale under controlled conditions, with air flow 0.4 L/min, temperature 26 °C, pH = 8. Microalgae showed effective nutrient remediation wastewater. During treatment, chemical oxygen demand (COD) biological (BOD) removal efficiency 93.7% 98.1%, respectively; total organic carbon (TOC) content decreased 95.7%. Nitrites nitrates 96%, while biggest decrease metal ions achieved for Ca Mn (82.7% 97.6%, respectively). findings suggest that coupling cultivation treatment has lot reducing contamination through biosorption, also providing advantages.

Investigation of copper sorption by sugar beet processing lime waste.
In the western United States, sugar beet processing for sugar recovery generates a lime-based waste product (∼250,000 Mg yr) that has little liming value in the region's calcareous soils. This area has recently experienced an increase in dairy production, with dairies using copper (Cu)-based hoof baths to prevent hoof diseases. A concern exists regarding soil Cu accumulation because spent hoof ...
متن کاملBiosorption of styrene from synthetic wastewater by sugar cane waste(Bagass)
In this work, styrene removal from wastewater by using sugarcane waste (bagasse) as an adsorbent was studied. Equilibrium isotherms and kinetics were determined; the effects of bagasse particle size and concentration, solutions pH, and temperature on the biosorption of styrene were studied in batch experiments. Adsorption equilibrium data was successfully fitted to Langmuir isotherms (R2=0.986)...
متن کاملAdvanced Treatment of Meat Processing Wastewaters Using Microalgae
Introduction: Effluents of Meat processing are one of the untreated wastewaters containing high volumes of polluted components even after the primary and secondary treatments. The high cost of using the advanced treatment methods of the wastewaters has led the industry owners to release them in the nature without effective removal of nitrogen and phosphorus. In this study, an economic advanced ...
متن کاملOccupational asthma in a beet sugar processing plant.
A patient with occupational asthma in the beet sugar processing industry is described. Symptomatology, skin testing, immunologic testing, and specific bronchoprovocation testing indicate exposure to moldy sugar beet pulp was the cause of the patient's occupational asthma. Cooperation between the treating physician and public health authorities is encouraged.
متن کاملSalmon Processing Wastewater Treatment
The Skokomish salmon processing plant was built to provide a more efficient system for handling fish from the Indian commercial fishery on the Skokomish River. It is located on the Olympic Peninsula near the mouth of the Skokomish River about 45 miles southwest of Seattle, Washington (Figure 1). processing plant was designed in 1971, constructed in 1972, and has been in operation since December...
